On guitar Iused a kapo to change the key. How do I change the key on the mandolin? (Or am I jumping ahead of you?)
Long answer short: those G, C and D shapes can move around like barre chords on the guitar and be in any key depending what fret you’re on. I have a video called “Mandolin For Guitar Players” that explains this in detail :)

I’ve been learning this song. One of my favorites. Maybe, “Free Bird?” I’ve started using Monel strings. Been playing free bird for a while. After a while, I add embellishments to add to the song. Once you learn, you can add different things to it. Thanks again for being there for us.
